We are hairy people launched just over a month ago, selling one of a kind, hand- painted, items of clothing, created by myself. My name is Sarah Caulfield, I'm an artist specialising in painting and hand-drawn animation. 

Through selling on Asos I have received a lot of interest, including a request to show my work at The Clothes Show 2012, which is the UK's largest Fashion event, and would give my company the boost it needs to establish itself and become a company rather than a hopeful experiment.

Unfortunately it's expensive to show there, and I don't have the cashflow as We Are Hairy People does not earn enough for me to live yet. I'm trying to raise £2000 to get my hand painted art work shown and sold at such a big event. The Clothes Show  2012 will be held at the NEC in Birmingham from the 7th to the 11th of December, attracting 125 thousand visitors over the 5 days as well as press and media coverage, I've also been offered advertising on the Clothes Show website. £1656 will get me 4 Square Metres of space to show, with the remaining money will go towards getting enough pieces made in time for the event, which varies from stock, paint, tags, photoshoots, printing, rails & travel.
