Twelfth Night
By: Toby And Dani Davies LondonWe are going to be performing Twelfth Night in the beautiful, historical, Minister of Saint Mary the Virgin Church in Reading Town Centre. That's right, the big church opposite the Purple Turtle and if you haven't been inside it then you are in for a treat.
The production will be directed by Hal Chambers (Donmar Warehouse) and designed by Harriet de Winton (Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory). As anyone who saw our launch event Off the Block will vouch, there are some pretty talented actors based in Reading, so watch this space because there will be a formidable company of ten actors treading the boards of the 499 capacity Church between October 24th and November 3rd. We are also going to offer four young actors from Reading's youth theatres the incredible chance to perform in a professional play.
So far we have managed to raise £3000 through sponsorship and our launch event, but we have a long way to go yet. We need £8000 for the show to go on and that is simply for the lights, sound, costumes, staging and venue, without paying anyone on stage or behind the scenes. Please help us to hit our target by raising the £5000 we need to make Twelfth Night possible.
If we raise more than our target we will be able to start paying our devoted team of actors, directors, designers and technicians. We need a further £7000 to pay peoples expenses alone.
Please support theatre in Reading and make it possible for us to bring this great production to our town.
