Our great love for design and self-publishing has brought us together to work on a new publishing project, One of My Kind (OOMK) Zine. We started working on the project as a way of documenting and sharing the work of some of the talented creative women we had come across but as our journey progressed we uncovered many, many more. So much so that we decided to get serious and create a small press publication that would include the work of up to 25 women. OOMK zine has evolved and is well on it way to becoming a highly visual publication that promotes the work of different creative, imaginative, spiritual and active women. Through the work of these women we hope to inspire many more to engage in thoughtful and creative practices, however big or small.

But we need your help, we need to raise enough monely to get OOMK Zine professionally printed and distributed to a few independent bookshops in London. If this project is successfully funded then we can begin work on issue two and keep the zine running as a quarterly publication. While some of the contributions for issue 1 were commissioned many were simply submitted to us through our website and email. We hope to become a largely submissions based publication allowing for a whole range of people to become part of OOMK. But we can only proceed to do this if we manage to fund issue 1.

We need £800 to cover printing costs for 300 copies in full colour on nice paper, short print runs like this are very expensive so the more money we raise the cheaper it will be to get a higher volume printed. We want OOMK to be sold at an affordable price so the more money we raise the cheaper we will be able to sell OOMK. 

Between the three of us we have printed and sold many of our own comics and zines. We are confident at contacting buyers and know what sort of people would be interested in OOMK.

We really believe that we can make this project a success, we just need a little help to get it on its way.
