STORYLINE:

The year is 2033 a virus or bacteriological attack has wiped out almost 90% of the world’s population. The protagonist of the story, half way from a sci-fi and a social deliberation, is Doctor Cornelius Van Morgen: interpreted by the actor Franco Nero. As a survivor of this devastating epidemic,  the doctor decides to start up experiments on some other survivors in order to find the cause of this deathly contagion. The outbreak wasn’t a virus, and there’s no more way to find an antidote that easily. In a crescendo of unpredictable story developments, the same capacity of the man to act upon things – his actual “effectiveness” – is going to be put into discussion…

PRODUCTION NOTES

New Order was realized almost entirely with saving and sacrifices of the director’s, Marco Rosson, family. The actor Franco Nero really believes in the project and decided to help the young emerging director, by becoming co-producer of the feature, and by working for free. The entire opera has been realized with a low budget: A crew restricted to 12 people, but some professionals that allowed the production of a little big opera of collective cooperation.

The photography was given into the hands of the young cinematographer Marco Sirignano A.I.C., that with few tools and a digital camera managed to express to its best, all his astonishing talent.

New Order is a very experimental project that was digitally filmed. It’s characterized by two very precise framings: the POVs (Point of View) and the Video-diaries. This allowed us to film some very interesting sequence shots.

New order is not only a movie! Why?

New Order’s great experience proved us that in order to work well, what’s really important are great ideas and a talented team, not big budgets.

Now that the movie is done, why do we need money? Good question.

• Post-production (color correction, head titles, and graphics)
• Festival submission fees (the majority of film festivals demand a tax with the submission)
• Marketing and promotion of the motion picture (fundamental for good outcome)
• Encoding (the requested formats for the projections)
• Commissions and shipping charges (they have so many taxes)

WHO ARE WE

Marco Rosson is a young Italian director. He graduated at the “Scuola Civica di Cinema, Televisione Nuovi Media” of Milan. In 2007 he realized an experimental short movie “Metastasi” winner of numerous awards one of which, 2007 Award for Best director under 30.

Together with his group of colleagues, he founded “Tacci Films”: a completely independent production that wants to realize features of young authors that have no chance to express themselves through ordinary channels.

We all have one big common love. Cinema. What we want to do is really easy. We want to tell stories.
