Laughter Lines | Leeds Comedy Festival 2012

Celebrating exciting new comedy in the North's best city...

Laughter Lines Comedy Festival was created in 2010 to bring alternative comedy acts to a new audience in Leeds at an affordable price. Established as a student project originating from Leeds University's School of Performance and Cultural Industries, the inaugural event took place in March 2011 and spanned 11 shows taking place across five venues over four days. This was Leeds' first multi-day comedy event.

Between April 28th and May 4th 2012, the festival will be back! Rebranded as Laughter Lines | Leeds Comedy Festival, it is our goal to make a greater contribution to Leeds’ cultural output, and create a spectacle that is truly enjoyed by the city as a whole.

Laughter Lines | Leeds Comedy Festival 2012 will be comprised of 15 shows taking place over these eight days, with an emphasis placed on the kind of shows that can't be seen every Friday or Saturday night in any city around the country. We are dedicated to supporting new artists, a greater range of new city-centre venues, and individuals who want more variety in their experience of live comedy.

We have three pledges available for potential donors, offering priority booking, access to an exclusive invite-only event showcasing Leeds' best comic talent, as well as the opportunity to gain full access and priority seating for all of the shows at the festival.

See below for more details on last year's event....
