Hi Please Funders have a look at our pitch.

“People think people with Learning Disabilities are scruffy and look down on us”

But we think ….

Fashion is fun.

Fashion is colourful.

Fashion is personal.

Fashion tells the world something about you.

Fashion builds confidence.

Confidence goes with pride and being proud of who you are and what you have done, matters.

We want to build confidence, self-esteem and have fun by hosting four fashion workshops and a fashion show. Along with building skills and artistic flare for 10 – 15 learning disabled people.

Learning Disabled people have little opportunity to express themselves freely through the clothes they wear. This is an opportunity for them to work with an image consultant and put their mark on an individual outfit.

Its shows the world what you can achieve, that you are creative and have talent.

The workshops will culminate in a fashion event where people can go down the catwalk and be photographed by a professional photographer.

At the show we will have homemade cakes and biscuits made by our members.

We were established in 1992 and have over 500 members.

As we have come to the end of our time on Please Fund Us and we have not reached our target I would like to thank our supporters and backers.

We will continue to try and raise the funds needed to to support our members to acheive their goal of a fashion show, so please keep an eye on Facebook fand our website or any details.

Wednesday 3rd October - yesterdays update was incorret - sorry

If we raise ALL the money by 11 am tomorrow - our manager (stephen hughes) will do the cinnamon challenge.

UPDATE 14

Less than one week to go and still missing that elusive 84%

In this one last push please tell your family, friends, neighbours, people on the bus and passers by about our great project.

In the mean time can we thank all our backers and followers for their continued support we have been encouraged by your generosity.

Lets hope this time next week Fashion-able is a reality.

Fank You Fridays (continue) – This week we have achieved over 15% of our funding goal - Thank you to all those who have contributed so far and a specail thank you to Super Saide and The Great Godfrey Small.
