A Brief Intro

Crowdfunding is a simple concept whereby a large number of people support an idea, each with a relatively small amount of money relative to the total funding required. PleaseFund.Us is the leading UK crowdfunding platform specializing in helping creative projects get full funding.

I Have An Idea!

Brilliant, now you need to work out how to make it happen. We can help you all the way along the process. If you are happy to put up a video explaining what it is you want to do, we’ll help you work out the best way to get the most people to support your idea and on the way you’ll get all the feedback from your potential clientele before you have even launched.

Starting Your Project

Don’t dream about it, do it! Before you post your project you will need to research what pledge types you are going to be giving away to your backers, you will need to create a short video explaining your idea and your pledges, you will need to work out how long you have to raise the funding, and finally you will need to work out a target level of funding. We are here to help you, so step one is really just to get in touch with us at Hi@PleaseFund.Us or if you have already got your campaign worked out, just go ahead and Create A Project.

Listing Your Project

The best campaigns have time and consideration put into them. They prove to our community that they are serious and are willing to do the graft. We have an editing zone in our members area that will allow you to draft and redraft your project until you are completely happy to go live. Then once your project is ready, just click GO LIVE.

You have gone live, what happens now? You need to get everyone you know that might support you to help, this is not a sprint, it is a marathon and requires time and effort on your behalf. You need to e-mail people, facebook message them, tweet, phone them to support your project. We will do our best to make sure that the whole community are aware of your project as well!

Promotion, Marketing, Bringing Home The Bacon

You don’t need to have 2000 friends on facebook and a star studded twitter following to do a PleaseFund.Us campaign. You do need to have the desire to push your close network to help you out and then reach out to influential people in your sphere. Success!

If your project didn’t make the target funding level, all the pledge money is returned to the backers (minus tiny Paypal fees), so when you are asking people to support you, they know that should you not reach the full amount of money needed, they get their money back.

If you are successful, be gracious, TELL EVERYONE ABOUT IT! Keep people updated throughout your project, especially when you have succeeded.

We Made It

If your project got the full funding, now is the time to deliver! You have probably got anywhere between 50 and 500 people to just support you, now it is your turn to show them why they put faith in you and deliver your project to the best of your ability and deliver every single pledge that you made. This is your contract with your supporters and you don’t have the excuse that you didn’t have enough funding. Enjoy your project, excel yourself, and repay the community that helped you make it.
