Define Your Project

With any PleaseFund.Us campaign, it’s important to be clear about what you are doing. Every fundraising campaign must be shaped as an individual project. In the case of crowdfunding this means it needs a set of goals or targets that can be completed. If you don’t know what yours are, then it’s time to clarify them. This is the first step for any project owner.
Shaping Your Project
Now you're able to shape your project accordingly, bearing in mind that a project cannot be ongoing: Your project must have a clear beginning and end, and a defined goal. PleaseFund.Us essentially only accept finite projects, in addition to those that aren’t ‘fund my lifestyle’. A project asking for £2000 to help you travel the world for example would be classified as a ‘fund my lifestyle’ project, and would not be suitable unless you can prove that this is a clearly defined project with excellent rewards.
When To Start, When To Finish?
The length of a project is another thing to consider. Every PleaseFund.Us project has a lifespan of anything up to 55 days (decided upon by you, the project owner). Now that you have defined your goal and have decided upon a timeframe for your campaign, it’s time to think of what you can offer your backers in terms of pledge rewards. These are also very important to consider when setting your financial goal and deciding upon your funding target.
Lights, Camera, Action!
Only when all these are considered is it time to make your video and tell people about your project. This will be closely linked to your project summary, whereby you ultimately define your project to others: Don’t assume people already know what your project is and what you’re all about. Tell people who you are, what your project is and why you need the money. Whatever your project is, it's important to give as much detail as possible in your project summary. The more transparent a project is, the better. It adds credibility to your project and will more easily gain the trust of potential backers.
It’s A Marathon Not A Sprint

Building your project is an important process, and will not necessarily happen overnight. Once your project is defined, feel free to submit it for feedback at any time: The PleaseFund.Us team are here to help and can offer advice for any part of your project. You can regularly update your project, tweaking any finishing touches until you are happy for it to go Live. However, don’t fall into the trap of thinking that once your project is uploaded that your part is done. Everyone, without exception, underestimates how much work goes into running a successful campaign. Whilst the PleaseFund.Us platform will automatically give you increased exposure, it is important to promote your project and retain the interest of potential backers with regular updates.
Similarly, it is not the end of your PleaseFund.Us campaign if and when your project is successfully funded. It is then time for your reward fulfillment; to give back what you offered as pledge rewards to those who made your project a success.
