Crowdfunding has become an increasingly more popular way for small companies and creative artists to gain early backing using the internet and social media. In the UK we have seen a wave of crowdfunding sites emerge that have goals as diverse as funding community driven projects to equity investment platforms. PleaseFund.Us has always been proud to be a creative projects platform, meaning that anyone with a new idea can upload their idea and work with the PleaseFund.Us team to get it into shape so that it can raise the money needed through crowdfunding.
Crowdfunding and Grant Giving: A Successful Combination
The PleaseFund.Us Creatives Grants winners were announced a week ago today and since then, not 1, but 2 projects have successfully met their targets!
Mission: Explore Food and Sam Rose In The Shadows were awarded 1st and 2nd place grants of £1500 and £750, but despite this ‘helping hand’ however, both projects still had quite some way to go to reach their targets.
We give out £3500 to The Creatives Grants Winners
There were six projects in the running for that 1st place grant of £1500; all of which had proved themselves as worthy contenders for the PleaseFund.Us Creatives Grants. The criteria is simple: Each project must have at least 20 backers, 100 facebook shares and 50 tweets (all directly from their project page). Other than that, the Creatives Grants are open to absolutely anyone (providing you’re over the age of 18). No restrictions. No forms. Our grant applications are quick and easy.

We're now down to the last couple of days before we hand over the shortlist of entrants to the judges for The PleaseFund.Us Creatives Grants. There’s as little as 3 days left until the winners are announced, and on 23rd February you and your project could potentially win some of the £5000 on offer.

Who’s going to win the £5000 Creatives Grants?
There are 42 days left to go before the 12 winners of the PleaseFund.Us Creatives Grants are announced on the 23rd February. That still leaves plenty of time for new projects to be uploaded and join some of newest projects that have only recently embarked on their campaigns: Some of which are already contenders for the Creatives Grants. We’ve had a look through all those projects who could be in contention of winning a grant, and we tell you why.
